In May 2022, the IWATA Group received "Science Based targets (SBT)" certification from the SBT Initiative, an international environmental organization. The IWATA Group's GHG (greenhouse gas) emission reduction targets are based on the Glasgow Climate Accord's* goal of limiting the global average temperature increase to 1.5°C below pre-industrial levels by 2100.

We have positioned "addressing global warming" as an important issue to be addressed by the Group, and will strengthen our efforts to achieve the goals set forth by the SBT.

Reduce Scope 1* and Scope 2* GHG emissions by 501 TP3T from the base year of 2018 to 2030
