1902 Iwata Shokai was founded in Nagoya as "Iwata Yashichi Shoten".
Iwata Shokai began in the city of Nagoya, where the textile industry was thriving, selling grass and wood ash used for textile dyeing in a rear car. We have been involved in the chemical industry and recycling for over 100 years. Since its foundation, Iwata Shokai has continued to support society by supplying chemical products. Chemicals may have a harmful image, but if used properly, they can enrich people's lives and create a sustainable global environment and future for mankind.
We have supported society by providing products that support people's comfortable lifestyles, engaging in recycling and proper disposal of waste, and developing products that take the global environment and safety and security into consideration. The core business of Iwata Shokai was and still is chemistry. We will continue to contribute to the happiness and future of all people living on the earth through the power of chemistry.
